Raspberry White Chocolate Scones

I do love scones, especially homemade. They are not difficult and you do not need a special scone pan. I stole this recipe from the internet years ago, and unlike every other recipe I've ever used in the entire world, I have never had to doctor or change this one. ENJOY! icon_wink

French's crunchy onion chicken

Not only do I hoard recipes, I am completely honest when I say I steal them too. I do not however, claim to have invented the recipe; such as some of the women in the political arena have been doing lately. If I stole it -- I will admit it. I want to share with you a truly wonderful way to bake chicken that will have your tummy screaming for more!

Recipe Hoarder

I am SUCH a recipe hoarder. Now make sure you read that right. I am constantly printing out recipes for things that sound wonderful, and in time, they end up in a file folder in my desk, or in a pile, or in a drawer....not a place that is appropriate for finding it when bored with cooking and want something different.......

Non-diet food

The diet didn't go very well. I'm back to eating peanut M & M's, cake for breakfast, Starbucks Frappaccino iced coffee on the drive into work and last night we had french toast w/ sausage for dinner. So here is a list of things that are considered non-diet foods, just in case you forgot what your sweet tooth has been asking for all these months!

Dieting when you love food

I will be the first to admit that I hate diets. I hate having to watch my caloric and fat intake. I live with a man who loves to eat and doesn't even care one iota if either one of us gets fat. Well, sorry to say this dear -- but we are both already fat.

Sandwich Ideas

Stolen without permission from my newest cookbook: "The New Basics Cookbook" -- although not entirely new (1989), but new to me. Now that we have established the newness of the new cookbook, let's talk about sandwiches.

Frozen Watermelon Margaritas

In the summer of 1997 I had a life-changing series of events. In order to celebrate the NEW ME, I got a tattoo, bought a thumb ring and had a party to end all parties. I served these Watermelon Margaritas at my party and they were a HUGE hit, you can certainly omit the alcohol, but what fun would that be? icon_cool

Blast from the Past

My mother was not the best cook; and it's difficult for me to say this - because she has passed away (do not speak ill of the dead), and we are supposed to love our mother; no-matter-what.

That having been said....

Pepperoni Cheese Bread

We often have this with a large salad. It doesn't work well as an appetizer, because it really needs to be served hot, right out of the oven. It's very cheesy and yummy!
